LOMER &MEGGITT ARCHITECTS The core of our approach starts with listening to the clients needs and experiencing the site. By uncovering the complexities of each unique project we are able to make thoughtful, site responsive decisions which become the foundation of every project. The selection of the team members involved in the construction process are crucial to the success of every project. We give careful consideration to the economical and physical requirements of each unique project. Site responsive positioning, refined simplicity and casual elegance, thoughtful details and the use of regional and contextual materials are important elements. We believe the common thread in all good design is creating structures that not just serve its intended purpose, but bring delight to its inhabitants. A Note on Being Green All of our homes are designed with energy efficiency as a priority. Our firm is committed to staying educated on the latest sustainable products and design practices so we can guide our clients in making green choices. While we are very supportive of the United States Green Building Council, we believe you can contribute and create more sustainable designs without being overwhelmed by the constantly evolving territory of "green" certifications and bureaucracy. We are excited to partner with our clients in contributing to a more sustainable future. Firm History Lomer & Meggitt Architects was formed by Lara Lomer and Michael Meggitt in 1998. Both are licensed architects in New Jersey and have studios in Hopewell and Long Beach Island. The Firm has completed over 200 new homes, renovations and additions in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. |
